2025 Annual Conference: Caring for Every Person.
Strengthening Every Community.

This past October, CPCA’s 2025 Annual Conference brought together leaders, advocates, and innovators in community health for two days of learning, collaboration, and celebration in San Diego.

The theme of this year’s conference, “Community Health Centers: Caring for Every Person. Strengthening Every Community,” underscored the vital role health centers play in addressing disparities, expanding access, and building resilient communities.

The two-day program featured general sessions, learning tracks, and networking opportunities designed to spark dialogue and action.

  • Advocacy, Power, and Influence Track – Attendees practiced how to champion change through policy, partnerships, and storytelling.

  • Healthy Communities Track – These sessions explored data-driven and innovative care models to improve lives.

  • Health Center Optimization Track – Participants learned forward-thinking strategies to strengthen operations and sustainability.

  • Health Centers as Employers of Choice Track– Presenters showcased how to build engaging workplaces that attract and retain top talent.

Keynote speakers Dr. Angela Davis, Sandra R. Hernández, and Brenda Solórzano brought unique perspectives to the stage which challenged the audience to think outside the box and helped us renew our focus on the community health movement.

The Ofrendas of Hope and Healing reception was the perfect way to cap a day of connection – by honoring loved ones and celebrating the communities that strengthen each of us.

As the conference concluded, CPCA leaders emphasized the importance of sustained advocacy, innovation, and collaboration in the year ahead. With California’s health centers facing ongoing challenges, the lessons and connections forged at the 2025 Annual Conference will serve as a foundation for continued progress. By bringing together diverse voices and perspectives, CPCA reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that every person in California has access to compassionate, high-quality care.
