CPCA 2022 Conferences: From Virtual to In-Person…Finally!

2022 Virtual Quality & Technology Conference

CPCA’s 2022 Quality & Technology Conference on February 24-25 was originally planned to be hosted in-person in Santa Rosa and had to be quickly pivoted to a virtual conference when Sonoma County, at the height of the Omicron surge, issued a month-long public health order prohibiting gatherings over 12 people. CPCA staff, well-versed in planning virtual conferences by this point in the pandemic, executed the transition to virtual content delivery flawlessly and the conference was successfully hosted on a new, eye-catching virtual conference platform.

Attendees had a variety of educational sessions to choose from throughout the two-day conference, including sessions that focused on CalAIM, health equity, remote patient monitoring, technology, data sharing, vaccine equity, quality improvement, value-based care and strategic partnerships. Before and after sessions, conference participants also had the opportunity to visit the sponsors and exhibitors in the virtual tradeshow, where they could join a “virtual showcase” presentation, chat with exhibitors, and enter to win great prizes!

Conference attendees were pleased with the rich content presented throughout the conference. CPCA is looking forward to being able to host this conference in-person in 2023 in order to create valuable, face-to-face networking opportunities for our members!

2022 Financial Conference for CFOs and Billing Managers

Thanks to modern science and the COVID-19 vaccine, CPCA hosted our first in-person conference since February 2020! The 2022 Financial Conference for CFOs and Billing Managers was held in beautiful La Jolla, CA on May 17-20, 2022. Health and safety remained a top priority and all participants were required to provide proof of vaccination to attend. It was so great to finally see each other face-to-face, network and hear from respected content experts on issues relevant to community health centers.

The conference offered an array of timely and relevant sessions focused on issues including telehealth, leaning into change, Alternative Payment Methodology (APM), creating a culture of learning and more!  In addition to hearing from engaging general session speakers, concurrent sessions offered attendees a variety of educational opportunities to choose from, depending on their interests.

The event was supported by 25 sponsors and exhibitors who offered important resources as well as some great swag to conference attendees. The Exhibitor Bingo game gave attendees a chance to visit with exhibitors and be entered to win prizes. Two lucky attendees won a Fire HD 10 tablet!

The Wednesday evening reception, which was co-hosted by Edgewood Healthcare Advisors, was a big hit with attendees, who had long awaited a chance to gather and network. We look forward to seeing you again at our 2023 Financial Conference for CFOs and Billing Managers!
