Member appreciation, member feedback drives July Board and Committee meetings
CPCA’s July Board and Committee meetings were held in Sacramento July 12-13, providing members updates on issues impacting community health centers and their patients. CPCA staff and members engaged in important dialogue on issues impacting them the most and members provided CPCA staff with important input on upcoming work priorities.
After a day packed with meetings and significant discussion, CPCA hosted a member appreciation event at the home of CPCA’s CEO, Carmela Castellano-Garcia and her husband Angel Garcia. It was a warm evening, but things really heated up when Q-Vo started playing! It was a wonderful evening with delicious food and wonderful company.
On Friday, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) Board Chair James Luisi and NACHC Chair-Elect Lathran J. Woodard sat in on a discussion with CPCA board members about the new strategic direction of NACHC. As part of a larger listening tour, members participated in a facilitated discussion related to six areas of focus, which included: diversity, inclusion, positioning, communication, innovation and climate. We look forward to hear how the conversation influences the future of NACHC.
