Let’s Get Connected!

CPCA’s Connected Community is an amazing resource available to members when looking for information or networking with their peers. Since January 2022, CPCA members have logged into the site more than 1,600 times whether to ask questions, download or share resources, support their peers, or look for answers.

When we launched Connected Communities in the fall of 2019, we started with 16 communities with the primary focus to support our peer networks. Today, CPCA staff moderate over 40 different communities. The growth in communities to support work outside of our peer networks continues to increase with 19 active communities to support collaboration on other types of work. View which new communities are available to join by selecting “All Communities” in the top horizontal navigation bar.

Since our launch, we have almost 1,200 active users, with 400 new users who have joined in the first quarter of 2022. We’d like to give special recognition to our community champions who have contributed to the success of our online community by engaging in conversations, asking and answering questions, and sharing resources.

One of the biggest values of Connected Communities is its smart search capabilities. Now that we have more than two years of content and conversation, we recommend you always start here. If you have a specific question, search keywords in the search bar. We recognize the results can be quite overwhelming if you’re searching for very broad terms, but you can always narrow the results by using the filter tools on the left side of the results page. If it takes too long to find the answer, please start a new thread and CPCA community moderators will help facilitate results for you. Also, if you find helpful information, please give it a “thumbs up” as a way of saying thanks. This will continue to encourage engagement from your peers.

Connected Community Champions

“The portal for the Peer Network has been an opportunity to connect and collaborate with providers throughout the state which is invaluable to the vital work we are doing; serving and advocating for patients who are often overlooked and from communities that are under-resourced.”

Laura Curtis, SHRM-SCP

Clinical Recruiter
Mendocino Community Health Center, Inc.

"I have found the Connected Communities invaluable, as a department of one, for connecting with peers and learning best practices. With Covid, it was difficult staying on top of all the changes and keeping staff informed of them. Everyone in both the HR and Compliance peer networks were all going through the same things. It made a difficult time much everything easier sharing our experiences."

Jenelle Mason, MJ, CHPC

Chief Compliance Officer
Avenal Community Health Center

"This is an invaluable resource for FQHC professionals to share important information and learn from each other."

Cris Navarro

Deputy Chief of Compliance
HealthRIGHT360

"The Peer Network’s Connect Community Portal is ideal for reaching out to our colleagues throughout the state. Whether you are seeking feedback on new ideas, or simply trying to avoid having to reinvent the wheel, the portal provides an easy and efficient way to stay connected and informed."

In an era where we are quick to pick up our phones and search our web browsers for answers and information, an online community eliminates the need of spending hours searching on a topic that has more than likely been addressed in a community thread. An online community brings people together and provides users with a quick and easy way to navigate and find a resolution to a problem, and often the answer has been vetted by your peers. Connected Communities is a service of Higher Logic, the industry-leading, human-focused engagement platform that delivers powerful online communities and community tools to help members engage at every stage of their professional journey.  This platform is also available through a mobile app on both Safari and Google play stores. It’s easy to install and we have created this short tutorial to help you.

If it’s been a while since you’ve taken note of what’s happening in Connected Community, visit today and see what everyone’s talking about!
