CPCA On The Road: NHCW Highlights
For a third year in a row, CPCA sent staff teams across California to visit member health centers during National Health Center Week (NHCW), August 4-8, 2025. This year, 41 staff members visited 23 health centers throughout the week, traveling as far north as Redding and as far south as Indio. That’s a 36 percent increase from the 17 visits conducted during NHCW 2024!
This was a special year to connect with members as it marked 60 years since the health center program began. For 60 years, the community health center (CHC) movement has stood as a powerful force for access to compassionate care and it was an honor to celebrate this historic milestone with so many health center staff members and leaders. By connecting with health center leadership and frontline health care providers, these visits showcased what we’ve known all along, that health centers provide more than just comprehensive care and wellness. They are lifelines—places where families find support, where trust is built, where care is delivered with dignity, and where communities feel seen and valued. Whether it’s preventive care, chronic disease management, or simply a friendly face at the front desk, health centers meet people where they are and walk alongside them on their path to wellness.
A big thank you to all the health centers that hosted our staff in celebration of National Health Center Week 2025!

Just because NHCW is over doesn’t mean CPCA staff won’t continue our member outreach and support! NHCW visits are only a part of CPCA’s Health Center Site Visit Program and staff will continue to prioritize member visits to increase visibility of CHCs and to increase opportunities for health centers to connect with CPCA staff and enhance our understanding of the California CHC landscape.
This map depicts which counties CPCA has visited through the Health Center Site Visit Program since January 1, 2023. Of California’s 58 counties, CPCA staff have been to 41.
CPCA looks forward to further expanding the program to more clinics throughout the year. If you have questions about the program or would like CPCA to visit your health center, please email membership@cpca.org.
