CPCA’s HCCN Award Paves the Way for Stronger Data Collaboration with Health Centers

The California Primary Care Association (CPCA) has achieved a significant milestone: recognition as a Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN). This designation from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) allows CPCA to deepen its collaboration with participating community health centers, advancing data-driven improvements in care delivery and health outcomes.

CPCA On The Road:
NHCW Highlights

For a third year in a row, CPCA sent staff teams across California to visit member health centers during National Health Center Week (NHCW), August 4-8, 2025. This year, 41 staff members visited 23 health centers throughout the week, traveling as far north as Redding and as far south as Indio. That’s a 36 percent increase from the 17 visits conducted during NHCW 2024!

Investing in Accessible Care
with EPT Payments

Equity and Practice Transformation (EPT) Provider Directed Payments (PDPs) are bringing new opportunities for health centers to strengthen care and expand their impact in Medi-Cal. The EPT program was developed by the Department of Health Care Services in partnership with health plans and provider associations – including CPCA – who championed the need for investments in health outcomes and delivery system transformation. The Population Health Learning Center serves as the program office, supporting implementation and equipping providers with the tools and guidance needed to succeed.
